06.10.2010 | Casenet Enters into Agreement with Independent Care Health Plan of Wisconsin (iCare)

Nationally Recognized Pioneer in Care Coordination selects TruCareTM 4.2 for Total Population Management

Bedford, Mass., June 7, 2010 — Casenet, Inc., a provider of innovative health management software products, announced that it will deliver its TruCare 4.2 product suite, including Case Management, Disease Management, Utilization Management and Provider Portal, to iCare, a Milwaukee-based private managed care organization. TruCare will be implemented to facilitate care coordination for iCare’s entire population including: Medicaid SSI, Family Care Partnership, BadgerCare Plus and Medicare Advantage Special Needs.

A deciding factor in iCare’s decision to select TruCare was Differential CareTM, its underlying functional architecture that synthesizes hierarchical and clinical rules with personal health status to guide care managers and clinicians in providing optimal care oversight.

“Since iCare has been expanding into new businesses every few years, it’s important that we are able to continue to easily segment our populations and still manage them to similar models of care. Casenet has the best solution in the marketplace to enable us to do that and a vision of the future of care coordination that is consistent with ours,” said Dr. Tom Lutzow, CEO of iCare. “We also wanted a solution that would be agile in the face of emerging healthcare reform changes.”

“We are proud to add iCare, an organization nationally recognized for having consistent quality and thought-leadership as well as one of the fastest growing private companies, to our world-class list of customers,” said Kevin Brown, CEO of Casenet.
